Dear Lebanese and Honorable Descendents,
On behalf of all Lebanese and under the High Patronage of His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Lebanon, General Emile LAHOUD, and in collaboration with the concerned ministries, it gives me great honor and distinct privilege to invite you to the International Festival for Lebanese Emigrants, which will be held from July 13th through July 22th, 2006.
The Festival will be celebrated in the hearts and minds of all Lebanese who will welcome you with their legendary hospitality; in the towns and villages where six thousand years of continual history speak to you vividly through the cultural tapestry of numerous civilizations; in Phoenician structures or Roman temples where modern music, theater, and dance link the grandeur of the past to the elevating simplicity of the present in timeless expressions of human creativity; and in mountainous terrains, hilly passageways, or fishing coastal towns where conquerors of antiquity and modern empires have all left their carte-de-visite in this most coveted of lands.
From the moment you arrive at the Beirut International Airport, all through the numerous programs and journeys that are elaborately coordinated with different ministries, and until you return to your countries, you will be treated as the returning sons and daughters to their beloved home. We look forward to this occasion with great anticipation and a heightened sense of excitement, and promise you a time to remember.
